For 20 years, Pepin Academies has been a leader in charter school education for students with learning and learning-related disabilities. As our schools and programs grew, it became clear that there was a strong need for workforce education among our population and in 2008, the Pepin Transition Program was created. Since then the program has evolved to offer more opportunities at job sites to provide the hands-on, pre-vocational training opportunities necessary when developing employability skills and transitioning to the world of the workforce.
Our first Workforce Education Breakfast will highlight and benefit the Pepin Transition program and the importance of hiring people with disabilities from the student, employee and employer perspective.
